This cotton saree carries a vibrant pink-red base, covered edge to edge in a fine kantha stitch — the traditional running-thread embroidery technique of Bengal — worked here in a checkered grid pattern using blue and yellow thread. Each line is hand-stitched, giving the fabric a soft, textured feel and a quietly rhythmic, all-over pattern rather than a printed or woven design.
